Aldridge resigns from Capita over loan to Labour

Rod Aldridge has resigned as executive chairman of Capita, the business services group, over a loan he made to the Labour Party. While denying allegations that the loan had resulted in Capita being awarded government contracts, Aldridge said he was standing down to protect the company’s reputation. He will, however, remain as non-executive chairman until Capita releases its interim results at the end of July. More >>
